SnapHaul is a junk removal service in the Portland, Oregon metro area, operated by Silicon Creek Solutions LLC ("SnapHaul," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use snaphaul.co and the SnapHaul app, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and profile photo if you sign in with Google, or the name and email you enter if you sign up with email.
- Job information: photos of the items you want removed, descriptions or voice notes you add, your pickup address, preferred pickup date and time, and access notes.
- Contact information: your phone number, if you choose to give it.
- Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive a record of the payment and a reference to your saved card so the remaining balance can be charged after the job.
- Device and usage information: basic information such as browser type, pages visited, and actions taken on the site, collected through the analytics and advertising tools listed below. If you allow notifications, we store a notification token for your device.
How we use your information
- To give you a quote, schedule and complete your pickup, and take payment.
- To contact you about your job by email, phone, text, or app notification. This includes sending your quote and a reminder if you haven't booked yet.
- To create your completion certificate and receipt.
- To improve our quotes and our service, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the site secure.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
Services we use
We share information with these providers only as needed to run SnapHaul:
- Google Firebase and Google Cloud: hosting, sign-in, database, photo storage, and app notifications.
- Google Gemini: analyzes your photos (and transcribes voice notes) to estimate the size of your load and your price.
- Google Maps: address search and location.
- Stripe: payment processing.
- Resend: sends emails such as your quote.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics: website traffic statistics.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel: helps us measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform, for example whether a visit led to a quote request or a booking, and lets us show ads to people who visited our site. Meta may use cookies and receive information about your visit. You can manage ad preferences in your Facebook settings or at facebook.com/adpreferences.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with other businesses for their own marketing.
How long we keep information
We keep job records, photos, and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service, keep business and tax records, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time (see below). We may keep certain records when the law requires it.
Your choices
- Access, correction, or deletion: email info@snaphaul.co and we'll respond within 30 days.
- Notifications: you can turn off app notifications in your device settings at any time.
- Emails: job emails, such as quotes and reminders, are tied to an active request. Reply to any email if you'd like us to stop.
- Cookies and ads: you can block or delete cookies in your browser, and limit ad tracking in your device and Facebook settings.
Security
We use industry-standard protections, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our database and photo storage, and payment processing through Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
SnapHaul is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
